“He Who Is Kind to the Poor Lends to the Lord.”

In addition to Light The World / St Teresa School, All God’s Children provides food, clothing, homes, medical care & micro business start-up capital to those in need.

In 2023, All God’s Children began a village pantry and tutoring program, providing free staple foods and hygiene supplies and offering after-school activities, tutoring and enrichment for any interested child.

“Let them thank the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all people, because God satisfied the one who was parched with thirst, and he filled up the hungry with good things!” PSALM 107:8-9

Medical Care

Although medical care in Bangladesh is inexpensive by most standards, it is out of reach for the very poor.

Here is Aiesha, a little girl with cerebral palsy, being raised by a single mother with other children.

All God’s Children provided the family with a wheelchair for Aiesha. She no longer will live life exclusively in a bed or on the floor,r and her family won’t have to carry her everywhere she goes.

Micro Businesses: A small amount of start-up capital begins a small business.

Often, $100 or less is all that stands between poverty and independence. This woman began a bread-baking business to help support herself and her family.

All God’s Children provided her with the needed supplies.

Village Tutoring Center

In Bangladesh, village life is especially difficult. Everything is scarce: food, clean water, jobs, education, and medical care.

Most villages still don’t have electricity in every home, and cell phone service is relatively new. In 2023, All God’s Children began a tutoring center in Rose’s home village.

Children of all ages enjoy daily education enrichment, a snack, and play time. Rose’s brother and sister, Jarome and Parvine, carry out the work there.

Housing

The housing of the disadvantaged in Bangladesh often consists of a structure made of bamboo poles wrapped in cloth, tin, or plastic. These small windowless rooms house the entire family, who will sleep on the ground covered in burlap bags or cloth.

All God’s Children has built several homes for student families. These small homes, along with a free education for the children and business start-up capital for the parents, provide the family with the tools needed to escape extreme poverty.

Training

Thomas’ (pictured right) mother died young, leaving his father to raise him and 3 younger brothers alone. Thomas wanted to be an auto mechanic, so All God’s Children provided the nominal tuition for his training.

These skills provided him the job and income needed to assist his father and brothers and eventually support his own family.

Village Pantry

In January 2024, All God’s Children opened a food pantry in Rose’s home village.

Twice a week, families can come and receive food staples and hygiene products for their families.

“…LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.”  Jesus, Matthew 5:16
